Appetizers

Lettuce Wraps	Sautéed chicken, mushrooms, peppers and onions, served in a cool crisp lettuce wrap
Curry Cream Mussels	Fresh herbs and ginger sautéed in white wine tossed in our curry cream sauce, served with bread
Walleye and Salmon Cakes	Two house made fish cakes served with lemon and our signature aioli dipping sauce
Cheese Platter	Five different seasonal cheeses, served with grapes and assorted crackers

Lunch Menu

Ribeye Melt	Sautéed onions, melted Gorgonzola served on ciabatta bread
Fish Tacos	Deep fried cod loins, served on a corn tortilla, our house made aioli sauce, red cabbage, pico de gallo, finished with asiago cheese
Pork Burger	Stuffed with Gorgonzola and chorizo served on a brioche bun
Salmon BLT	Grilled salmon, jalapeno bacon, crispy iceberg lettuce, tomato, served on ciabatta with chipotle mayo
Meatloaf Sandwich	Topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions, melted pepper jack on a brioche bun

Dinner Menu

Ribeye	Bone in 12oz choice cut ribeye, served with Yukon gold mashed potatoes, and sautéed carrots.
Osobucco	Braised in red wine, garlic and herbs, served with Yukon gold smashed potatoes, sautéed carrots, and a demi glaze reduction
Beef Stew	Braised steak, Yukon gold potatoes sautéed veggies served with a demi glaze reduction
Meatloaf	Ground pork, black angus and chorizo, stacked high with melted pepper jack cheese, mushrooms and onions, served with Yukon gold mashed potatoes
Pork Loin	Marinated in a rich IPA, grilled then finished in the oven, served with Yukon gold mashed potatoes, and sautéed carrots
Blackened Salmon	Herb encrusted, then baked, served on a bed of couscous, and sautéed asparagus

 

Beer Dinners

The Old Capital Tavern offers delicious educational opportunities through our beer dinner offerings. We pair a meal with different beer offered by a select brewery with a representative from the brewery guiding the meal. This is a wonderful opportunity to eat a great meal and drink some wonderful beer.
